Hands on Labs - 3rd floor

This hands-on lab is focusing on the introduction to the ROS, the open source robotics interaction environment. Besides the “Hello World” applications, best practices, useful tips, specific insights and real robots in action will be presented.
Levente Tamas
Technical University of Cluj-Napoca
Levente Tamas received with Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. He is currently with the Department of Automation, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. His past projects abroad (Bern, Switzerland) and current research focuses on 3D perception and planning for autonomous mobile robots, and has resulted in several well ranked conference papers, journal articles, and book chapters in this field.
Tófalvi László
Accenture
Laszlo Tofalvi has graduated Computer Science from the West university of Timisoara. He has extensive experience in industrial software, architecture and manufacturing execution systems implementation both abroad and in Cluj. He is a robotics, ROS and python enthusiast building up expertise from showcase development projects including robotics. He is a collaborator in research projects in this field with UTCN.
